the foundation’s one million towards utopia
The Foundation for the Arts and Social Enterprise’s vision was to bring the UTOPIA Symphony – inspired by the island republic and recorded by the world-renowned London Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Roads Studios – to the global stage to become a universal work for the annals of music history. The Foundation reached out to GEE Global for that big idea to amplify Singapore’s voice and garner large-scale awareness of the IPC charitable organization’s iconic initiative.
One Million Towards UTOPIA became our call to action to raise awareness of The Foundation’s unique venture-capitalist approach to the arts and to bring Singapore artists to the world … all starting in the Little Red Dot.
Our strategy harnessed a collective of Singapore’s top musicians & artists (Charlie Lim, Joanna Dong, Kenny Low), government agencies (SGN, EDB, STB), institutions of higher learning (LASALLE), community groups (People’s Association), and businesses together to redefine what UTOPIA means to everyday people.
Stay tuned as the year-long campaign rolls out starting on November 13, 2020, with the global release on all digital platforms – including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music – and a concert by the Metropolian Festival Orchestra at the Esplanade in March 2021, as the start of bringing one million people together with hopes that the UTOPIA Symphony receives a 2022 nomination for the GRAMMY Awards.
